Today is not only for expressing love and appreciation to our loved ones but also for extending gratitude to those who work tirelessly to ensure our community’s safety. Our local sheriff’s department plays a crucial role in safeguarding our neighborhoods, schools, and streets, and on this special day, we want to recognize and celebrate their dedication.

As part of their ongoing efforts to ensure public safety, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) would like to remind everyone to drive with caution, especially near our schools. With the safety of our children being of paramount importance, it is essential for motorists to adhere to speed limits around town, particularly in school zones.

By driving responsibly and obeying traffic laws, we can all contribute to creating a safer environment for everyone in our community. Let’s show our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our local law enforcement officers by being mindful of our actions on the road and ensuring the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and fellow motorists.

On behalf of the entire community, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our sheriffs and deputies for their unwavering commitment to keeping us safe. Their professionalism, bravery, and selflessness are truly admirable, and we are grateful for everything they do.

Happy Valentine’s Day, and may we continue to work together to make our community a safer and more loving place for all.

P.S. Here is the full photo as we thought it was too cute to not share. The face, the glasses, the signage. Pure gold. We mean, pink.
