“A quality haircut significantly boosts a young person’s self-esteem by helping them feel more confident and comfortable with their appearance, said Owner of Hammer and Nails Grooming, Diaz Dixon. “A fresh, stylish haircut can enhance self-image and provide a substantial confidence boost. In today’s world, where social interactions, academic performance, and overall mental well-being are more critical than ever, we are proud to contribute to fostering a sense of individuality and self-worth.”
Partial proceeds from the Hammer & Nails Open will support Washoe County foster families and youth. HSA will use the funds for essential services and programs, including educational support, recreational activity expenses for youth in care, mental health resources, and ongoing supports for foster families, to ensure they have the assistance they need to provide a safe and nurturing environment.
