While the 4th of July fireworks over Lake Tahoe are a cherished tradition, they also come with environmental responsibilities. This year, Incline Fireworks has taken a proactive and collaborative approach to ensure the celebration doesn’t come at the lake’s expense. Partnering with Clean Up The Lake, ECO-CLEAN Solutions, IVGID, and the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, the team launched a multi-day cleanup initiative that includes boat crews, shoreline walkers, robotic beach sweepers, and divers surveying depths up to 50 feet.
In addition to the physical cleanup, water quality sampling and data analysis are being conducted to assess the environmental impact of the fireworks. An independent report from Clean Up The Lake will help guide future decisions and ensure we can continue this tradition in a responsible, sustainable way.
