Winter is never far away when you’re high up in the Sierra Nevada, and this season, Tahoe’s ski resorts are gearing up for another year of powder days, bluebird skies, and mountain memories.
Several light snowstorms have already rolled through the region, with about six inches reported at higher elevations and more expected next week. While some resorts are delaying their openings slightly, the combination of early snowfall and state-of-the-art snowmaking technology is setting the stage for a strong start to the 2025–26 ski season.
