Candidates Announced for 2024 IVGID Board of Trustees

Incline Village and Crystal Bay are gearing up for a pivotal moment as the November election looms, determining the occupants of three of the five seats on the Incline Village General Improvement District Board of Trustees.

Trustees Michaela Tonking and Sara Schmitz* are up for re-election, while Trustee Matt Dent will reach the end of his term.

With seven candidates vying for these positions, the community is poised for a Primary election on June 11, 2024. The roster of candidates includes:

  • Frank Wright
  • Harry Swenson
  • Kevin Sammelman
  • Mark Case
  • Michael (Mick) Homan
  • Michaela Tonking (up for re-election)
  • Michelle Jezycki

These candidates, once elected, will be tasked with representing the electorate’s interests, shaping policy, and devising strategies to fulfill IVGID’s mandate of providing essential services such as water, sewer, trash, and recreation to the residents of Incline Village and Crystal Bay.

* Please note: Trustee Schmitz’s candidacy for a second term remains uncertain. The deadline for filing was 5 pm on March 15, 2024, and as of the time of writing, her name does not appear on the Secretary of State’s website. Updates regarding her candidacy status will be provided in due course.
