The Committee on Local Government Finance (CLGF) has accepted the District’s 2022/2023 financials, which we expect has everyone inside of IVGID’s finance department breathing a deep sigh of relief.
As noted previously, IVGID’s external auditor, Davis Farr, was unable to provide an audit opinion until the completion of the forensic due diligence audit. Given that Davis Farr’s opinion is a requisite component of the State audit, they issued a suboptimal “Disclaimer of Opinion.” There was concern this would not be accepted by the CLGF, but that concern was seemingly unwarranted. The CLGF has asked IVGID’s General Manager, Bobby Magee, to provide a report at its August meeting on the results of the forensic due diligence audit.
