In a powerful show of solidarity, the Incline Village community is rallying together to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving. On Wednesday, May 28th, the Incline High School Football Field will host the Rally of Red, a visual and heartfelt event to remind everyone of the importance of making safe choices on the road.

The event begins at 4:30 PM, with attendees gathering on the football field to pick up their red flags, a symbol of the movement against impaired driving. At 5:30 PM, participants will join together to raise their flags, creating a sea of red that will serve as a striking visual display of the community’s collective stand against drunk and drugged driving. The moment will be captured by drone, photos, and video, ensuring the significance of the rally is remembered for years to come.

Red has become a recognized color in efforts to raise awareness and take a stand against impaired driving. This is our chance to show the world, as a community, that we are committed to making the choice to drive safely and responsibly.

This event is more than just a demonstration. As participants leave, they will be handed resource cards with important numbers and services to call for a ride, ensuring no one has to make the dangerous choice to drive under the influence.

The rally is open to everyone in the Village, from longtime residents to those who work here, with an important message for all: impaired driving is never the answer. The community is encouraged to attend, show their support, and take part in this important initiative.

We encourage you to arrive early, as a large turnout is expected. Parking is available in the IHS lots and surrounding areas. Let’s show our unwavering commitment to keeping each other safe and come home safe.

The organizers are looking for volunteers, see all the ways you can contribute here.

Don’t miss this opportunity to make a meaningful difference and stand up for safe choices in our community. Together, we can make an impact.
