Mother Nature has brought a surprising chill to Lake Tahoe this weekend, with temperatures set to drop significantly and a chance of precipitation beginning Friday. For those at higher elevations, summer snow could even make an appearance at elevations above 8,200 feet.
The colder temperatures have unfortunately led Incline Spirits to cancel their Friday concert at Incline Beach, disappointing locals and visitors alike.

Though Lake Tahoe’s shoreline is unlikely to see snow, the cold front will make for chilly mornings and likely rough waters on Lake Tahoe. Stand-up paddlers and boaters are encouraged to take caution as the weekend progresses.
Luckily, warmer weather is expected to return by Monday, with temps in the mid 70s, bringing a much-needed break from the weekend chill. Stay safe, and warm.
