There are several meetings scheduled this week and we want to make sure you stay up to date on all of them. We will do our best to attend and/or watch each one and provide a summary following each meeting, but we also encourage you to participate as well, especially if there are topics of interest to you.

Golf Advisory Committee

Time and Location: 3:00pm via ZoomAgenda

  • Discuss the goals and objectives of the Golf Advisory Committee.
  • Verbal update on recruitment progress of the Director of Golf Job description; discussion and possible direction to staff.

Special Board of Trustees Meeting

Time and Location: 6:00pm at 893 Southwood BoulevardAgenda

  • Approval of Meeting Minutes for October 25, 2023.
  • Review and discuss the results of the FlashVote Priorities Survey.
  • Review, discuss and possibly approve a Draft Template for the District General Manager’s anticipated employment contract.  
  • Review, discuss and possibly approve the contract with Best, Best, and Krieger LLP., for legal services for the period of January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024.

There will be an Audit Committee and another Board of Trustees meeting that are scheduled for next week.

Audit Committee Meeting on January 29th

Time and Location: 10:30 AM in the Boardroom at 893 Southwood Boulevard

  • Verbal update from Interim Director of Finance Bobby Magee on the engagement of RubinBrown and the commencement of the forensic due diligence audit. Discussion of the target completion date.
  • Verbal report from Jennifer Farr on the status of the US Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) Audit by David Farr, of the June 30, 2023 Annual Comprehensive Fiscal Report (ACFR).
  • Verbal report from the Audit Committee Chairman Chris Nolet concerning one reported whistle-blower matter.
